PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Recombinant Rat VEGF produced in E.Coli is a double, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 164 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 38417 Dalton. The rrVEGF is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Escherichia Coli.

FORMULATION:
The protein was lyophilized from a concentrated (1mg/ml) solution with no additives.

PURITY:
Greater than 95.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by SDS-PAGE
(b) Analysis by RP-HPLC
(c) Anion-exchange FPLC

STORAGE:
Although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, it should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution store at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

SOLUBILITY:
It is recommended to reconstitute in sterile H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY:
rrVEGF is fully biologically active when compared to standards. Determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) using a concentration range of 10-100 ng/ml.
