PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Recombinant Rat IL-13 produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 111 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 12192 Dalton. The rrIL-13 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Escherichia Coli.

FORMULATION:
The protein (1mg/ml) was lyophilized with no additives

PURITY:
Greater than 95.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
(c) Anion-exchange FPLC

STORAGE:
Although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, it should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution store at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

SOLUBILITY:
It is recommended to reconstitute in sterile H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY:
rrIL-13 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 was determined by the dose dependent prolifiration of TF-1 cells and was found to be < 4ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >2.5 x 105.
