PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Recombinant Murine IL-4 produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 120 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 13500 Dalton. The rmIL-4 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

SOURCE:
Escherichia Coli.

FORMULATION:
Lyophilized from a concentrated (1mg/ml) solution in water containing no additives.

PURITY:
Greater than 98.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE
(c) Anion-exchange FPLC

STORAGE:
Although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, it should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution store at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

rmIL-4 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependant prolifiration of Murine HT-2 cells is < 2 ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 5x105 IU/mg.
