PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Recombinant Mouse VEGF produced in Sf9 insect cells is a double, glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 164 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 38814 Dalton. The rmVEGF is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

FORMULATION:
The protein was lyophilized from a concentrated (1mg/ml) solution with no additives.

PURITY:
Greater than 95.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE
(c) Anion-exchange FPLC

STORAGE:
Although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, it should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution store at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

SOLUBILITY:
It is recommended to reconstitute in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY:
ED50 range=1-6 ng/mL, determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of human umbilical vein cells (HUVEC).
