PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Recombinant Human Artemin produced in E.Coli is a disulfide-linked homodimer, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 2 x 113 amino acids and having a total molecular mass of 24205 Dalton. rHuArtemin is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

SOURCE:
Escherichia Coli.

FORMULATION:
The protein was lyophilized after extensive dialysis against 10mM sodium citrate pH-4.5 and 150mM sodium chloride.

PURITY:
Greater than 98.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Anion-exchange FPLC.
(c) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained.

STORAGE:
Although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, it should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution it should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

SOLUBILITY:
It is recommended to reconstitute in sterile H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY:
rHuArtemin is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The Biological activity is calculated by it's ability to promote survival and neurite outgrowth and dorsal root ganglion neurons

Less than 0.1 ng/ug (IEU/ug)
